Upcoming Events

The Friends of Monomoy partner with the Chatham Conservation Foundation (CCF) sponsoring bird walks on Morris Island and other conservation and nature related programs. The Guided Bird Walks are $10 for members of the Friends of Monomoy, $15 for non-members. All other events are free. The trail system for the Bird Walks is flat and sandy however there is steep hill at the beginning of the trailhead.

    Join Mary Hake, retired National Park Service wildlife biologist, to greet the first sunrise of 2026 over the open waters and sand spits of Morris Island. After sunrise, enjoy a guided 1–1.5 mile hike in search of winter birds and other wildlife.
